Grecian diaries

We planned this in 2020 and then life happened….
With our fingers and toes crossed, we planned it again… and it happened. Top 5 on my bucket list- Greece 2022

We stayed in a sleepy little seaside town outside of Athens- Artemedis- our first Grecian sunset. This town is about 10 minutes drive from the Athens airport.

We chose this AirBNB location since it was close to the airport. Since we were planning to stay just 1 day in Athens before flying out to Santorini, we wanted to be as close to the airport as possible. This was a cute little apartment and our hostess was very accommodating. She arranged for all the multiple rides to the airport at a nominal price.

Valentina ( our hostess) recommended a restaurant for dinner and was so resourceful that she even got us a car ride to and from the restaurant.

A bustling seaside restaurant- straight out of a movie. Ambience – casual, beachy. Our table was located literally 3 steps from the water.
We were a ‘bit’ hungry after a long flight.. just the appertif- meat platter and seafood platter for ‘2’. A lot of meat and seafood with a common theme- very fresh, lightly seasoned, reasonably priced ( about 30 euros for a shareable platter)
Our dessert on the house- a complicated Greek name with an uncomplicated taste- donut holes drenched in honey and chocolat!
